Yo sweat the technique! Herron gets it in @ the Breakfast Club in Charlotte to tape his music video for the song "Quarter 2 Eight Hoppa" featuring Sonny Cheeba of Camp Lo. Shit was butta with real djs, mcs & b-boys. My type a hype. In between sets, freestyle cyphas & breakdance battles broke out. See if you can see the cameo by ya mainMAN chillin' wit Charles plus the drizzy Amaretto crew in a coupla scenes. Piece & Naps.
We are not your average, everyday, run-of-the-mill rappers that all sound alike. We can't stand the lack of diversity in hip-Hop music today so we come together with more flavors than Baskin Robbins. The mix of subject matter and rhyme style blend to give you an odd angle perspective of an unusual emcee. This is also a tribute to one the dopest movies and cast ever assembled. "And like that, he's gone."
Here it is. Bam! In yo face, hot damn. This is the dope jam. iCTV takes a look at some early footage of the Camp performing at iLL Fest 2006. This event was hosted by Walt Mass & H-Wood at the American Legion Auditorium in Lancaster, SC. Acts from all over the state showed up and showed out. They included OTC, Troublesum, DJ Twice & Kool-Aid, Rudisell, J30 of PayDay, Flawless, and of course the iLL Camp massive. The showcase was followed by a crucial freestyle battle between Scoop of OTC and J30 of PayDay. Prizes and trophies were awarded. All in all, we had a ball.
This was a bit of step away from the norm. Beatmaster RIGID created a soulful blend joint mixing industry cats verses with iLL Camp underground verses on top of his signature tracks. What resulted is a clash of the titans that will make you question which was harder, the original or the oRIGIDal? Choose one.
A throwback compilation from the dude RIGID. This piece broke ground in 2007 and gave alot of unknown emcees the chance to get their rocks off on a beat supreme, courtesy of beatmaster himself. This was a nice collection of work well worth the listening. If you have acopy of this piece, it might be mine since someone jacked my copy. Peace & nappiness.
You finally get to get down to the nitty gritty with ya mans & them; X-Man, Shadowman & mainMAN. This iCTV Exclusive documents the origins of an X-Man and his adaptation to the mutated state of Hip-Hop. It also chronicles the foreshadowing of Shadowman's newly released street banger, The Evil In Beauty. And it is all brought to you live & in living color on the streets of Lancaster by ya unfriendly neighborhood mainMAN. Its guaranteed to be more enjoyable than a root canal.
Here goes the iLL Camp throwback debut CD from my man Avalanche entitled "Insane". He almost did a Tupac and recorded this gem like the 7 day Theory because Avalanche don't need no pen & paper. He can damn near freestyle entire songs because he is just that iLL! Production is by Camp front man R.I.G.I.D. and the features are well put together. This joint is such a classic, it had to be converted from cassette. A definite banger.
