Camp Gear

J.Monroe aka "mainMAN" was one of the first to move from music to clothes. The Executive Head EnVisioneer of mainATTRACTIONs Ink, mainMAN started making clothes in the early 1990s, with little success. But in 2005, with the success of his OFFTOP T-shirt line, suddenly the manufacturers that earlier wouldn't extend credit saw the potential. mainMAN opened an urban boutique store in the Carolina's called The Remix. The line was carried in Life Line Apparel, M.A.D.E. Street Wear, and The C&S Hip-Hop Shop, among others; mainMAN says he earned crazy loot in 2006.

A partnership between iLL Camp and the mainFRAME clothing group which is an affiliate of mainATTRACTIONs Ink. took place in 2007 for an exclusive series of custom high quality tees, hats, apparrel, hoodies and other accessories for both men and women. The collection is named "Camp Gear". 2007 also saw the release of iLL Camp's project-platinum LP's from RIGID, mainMAN and Walt Mass which help launch the clothing line to all new heights. Walt Mass was particularly happy with the decision to bring iLL Camp into the fashion world despite the brand not being a major money-maker for the group. "When the Camp started making tees and hats and shit, it was classic material. I always rock that shit."

In 2009, Timberland released an iLL Camp themed Construction Boot. The boots were produced in low quantities. Their rarity and popularity makes them very sought after, leading reseller prices to be as much as $200. Now you can purchase limited edition Camp Gear wherever iLL merchandise is sold.
